Overview & Experience

Therese Traylor Nagem is a native of Winnsboro, Louisiana. She graduated from Louisiana Tech University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She earned a Juris Doctorate degree from Tulane University School of Law. She is also a Certified Civil and Family Mediator with Advanced training in conflict resolution.

Therese began her practice in Baton Rouge as an Assistant District Attorney serving under Doug Moreau. After several years as a criminal prosecutor she entered private practice in Baton Rouge focusing on family law matters including child custody and community property division.

Therese enjoys volunteering, serving on the Board of Directors for Friends of Louisiana Public Broadcasting, both as Chairman of the Louisiana Legends Gala and as incoming chairman of the board. She also serves on the Board of the St. Vincent de Paul Pharmacy.

Therese enjoys helping people going through a divorce as it is one of the worst times in a person’s life. Therese lives in Monroe with her two children.
